Lessons Learned… Lessons Ignored.

What madness is this! It is 100 degrees out there, half of my bike is held together by spit, zip straps, and 3/4 of a roll of gorilla tape, and I am putting salve on my tuckus to keep the skillet from setting fire to my britches. All this, just to cast a line in the water hoping I can sink a hook in a finned beast in waters far from home. This is awesome! I wonder what adventure we will discover today?

We ran into a guy at Devils Lake, N.D. Who had come from Banff national park in Alberta Canada who was describing his trip thus far. He also was riding a motorcycle, and was now on the return trip to New Hampshire. It was unfortunate that he was riding alone, but I couldn’t help but respect him for having the courage to attempt such an adventure. I learned that I am blessed to have my fishing partner along to share the adventure, and a wonderful wife who supports such madness as riding a motorcycle across the continent to go fish.
She wrote on her Facebook page that she is happy that I am living the dream. Isn’t that sweet? I have been living the dream for 20 years with this wonderful woman. I am blessed.

About urbangrizzly

I am presently working on a project titled "The Urban Grizzly Bait Shop." I have long considered opening my own bait shop, and I have found the perfect location for this one... my imagination.
